Soul Spa Days are personalised one-day retreats curated for you when you feel burned out, overwhelmed, or just in need of a reset. You’ll be held in a beautiful, calm space in the Glass House Mountains, with nourishing food, grounding practices, and gentle, soul support.

Guided restorative meditation

Be guided through a restorative 20 minute meditation to calm the nervous system and soothe your soul.

forest bathing

Forest bathing/ mindful hiking

Listen to the sounds of nature, feel the wind, take in the scents in this mindful exploration of the forest. You can choose a walk through a flat forest or a walk around or up a mountain in this 1-1.5 hour excursion experience.

why touch is therapeutic

Somatic dance session

Work through what is alive in your nervous system through somatic dance. I will create a playlist just for you and guide you through this 1-1.5 hour experience.

Gentle, consensual, platonic touch

In this 1-1.5 hour heart-opening co-regulating session, we’ll move from gentle non-contact activities through to gentle touch that feels enlivening for you. This is your chance to ask for what you need. Please note, all touch is platonic and 100% consensual. 

art therapy

Creative play - art, music, craft

Art, music and craft can provide the perfect medium for you to explore how you feel, and what your heart desires. In this 1 hour session you get to choose the tools and explore. Creativity helps to release oxytocin, the hormone of love, and it calms an activated nervous system.

gentled guided inquiry

Gentle, guided self-inquiry

Through conversation, together we start a dialogue to explore what is alive for you, where you are at and what is important to you. In this 1 hour conversation, you will be deeply listened to and deeply held. You may wish to bring a journal as well to jot down any insights that arise during the session.

Cara Szellemes

With over 20 years’ experience in mentoring and coaching others in communication, self-care, and creative self-expression, I created Soul Spa Days to help people reconnect with themselves in times of burnout and transition. I’ve walked this path, and I’m here to gently walk beside you as you remember how to be cared for. 

My credentials: Grad. cert. in Counselling, Master of Business (Communication Studies), BA in Eng. Lit., Birth and Postnatal Doula (trained with DONA International), first aid & CPR-trained, yellow card, blue card. Plus, I have practiced (and continue to) somatic embodiment, and Tantra for 3 years as part of my healing journey.
